FoodForward SA, a nonprofit that helps feed South Africa, is partnering with FoodChain Global.
Forty percent of people in South Africa go to sleep hungry. With the high inflation rate brought on by the war in Ukraine, food is even scarcer. In developing regions, this is true. FoodForward SA and FoodChain Global unite to ease the situation.
Foodchain Global Released Tokens and NFTs to Eradicate World Hunger
FoodChain Global’s FOOD token is listed on the trading platform MEXC. The 5,400 NFTs are part of the Foodies series.
When FCG sells FOOD token on MEXC, 30 percent of the proceeds are converted toUSDT. They convert the funds into U.S. dollars. Dollars are used to purchase food.
FoodForward SA will use its resources on the ground in South Africa to buy the most important food products.
They will provide those living in food insecurity in all the country’s provinces.
FoodChain Global continues its mission in using NFTs, tokens, and P2E games for real-world impact. Tackling the challenge of global hunger is FCG’s primary goal.
It is possible for FCG to build trust by being transparent with the donations. FCGs proof-of-work page can be used to trace everything through a public blockchain address.
According to Shawn Kurz, Founder of FoodChain Global: “Our formal partnership FoodForward SA officially expands our food donations onto the African continent. We chose FoodForward SA since they are a solid boots-on-the-ground organization.”
Deidre Adams, FoodForward SA’s Fund Development Manager, said: “FoodForward SA is delighted to become one of FoodChain Global’s newest beneficiary charities”.
“The partnership will be a critical enabler of our work as we advance our core business of recovering good quality surplus food from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers, and redistributing this food to vulnerable communities across South Africa.”
