Beckham is the latest sports star to partner with DigitalBits, a criptocurrency provider.
David Beckham has become a global brand ambassador for DigitalBits, launching his own range of non-fungible token (NFT) in the process.
According to the brand ambassador announcement, Beckham will release a series of NFTs and “other Blockchain-based digital assets,” with minting taking place on the DigitalBits blockchain.
Beckham’s announcement that he was making the NFTs available for sale was an “opportunity to create new experiences for my fans online.” According to DigitalBits, Beckham has an audience of more than 138 million people, with an impression rate of over 9 billion across Instagram, Facebook and China-based social media platforms Weibo and Douyin.
Cryptocurrencies are ramping up partnerships with sporting teams and icons to target mainstream consumers.
CoinSpot launches NFT marketplace
Users will be able to purchase digital art using a selection of cryptocurrencies on the new in-app NFT marketplace from Australian-based exchange coinspot such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Cardano (ADA) and others.
Over the next few months, more collections will be added to the list, including those from the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Gary Howells, chief product officer at coinspot, said that the marketplace was created to simplify buying an NFT and make it more affordable with lower fees compared to other marketplaces.
Snoop and Wiz drop music for ApeCoin holders
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa have released a project consisting of eight tracks, featuring a theme tune for the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Manifold is where the collection, titled “Ape Drops03: An 8th” can be found. Each track is available to purchase with prices ranging from 12 to 15 APE, or from $155 to $195 per track.
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa are both in the cryptocurrency space. Snoop Dogg recently released 10,000 playable avatars and a “SnoopVerse” in partnership with The SandBox metaverse.

In partnership with a New York-based auction house, a football team in the English premier league has a new collection.
There are two series featuring a player on the team. The “Legendary” collection will be open for auction and sold to the highest bidder, while the “Hero” collection sold for $75.
