Would you like to be a football team manager? Do you call the plays of a football game? You can own a piece of Fan Controlled Football.
The Ballerz Collective NFTs was released in February this year. There are four collections and they all contain 8,888 NFT avatars. One of the four FCF football teams is managed by someone with a Baller. Besides that, holders can enjoy gaming utilities that come with the NFT.
Fan Controlled Football embraces NFTs
Fan controlled football allows viewers to make key decisions and collectively call the plays in real time. FCF has professional sports leagues led by some of the big names in American Football such as Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch.
The Ballerz Collective NFT teams will be controlled by NFT holders for the second season starting on 16 April. These four teams are grouped together:
- The Gutter Cat Gang (Kingpins)
- The Bored Ape Yacht Club (Bored Ape FC)
- Knights of Degen
- Team 8OKI
The exciting part is that each team is led by prominent creators. King Black Bored is leader of The Gutter Cat Gang. Steve Aoki, the famous musician and founder of 888 Inner Circle, is leading Team 8OKI. Bored Ape FC is currently sold out. There are not many spots for the other teams.
Final thoughts
More utilities will emerge as the technology matures. Fan Controlled Football demonstrates user-controlled content. FCF isn’t alone in this regard. Fireside and Angry Lunch launched an NFT TV show that allows the public to influence the production. More sports and entertainment platforms will follow the Fan Controlled Football approach.
